There’s this Record Store Day vinyl special of the latest Sólstafir album with an unreleased B-side and it totally makes the whole record worth the mention. They say “Scorpion Moonrise was written in only one day, on which we also recorded the demo […] guest appearance by Hexvessel vocalist Mat “Kvohst” McNerney.” Stones, hammers, rocks.

Beautiful modern composition album with a post-rock and atmospheric ambient edge to it. The moment of standing at the edge of the world, looking at a calm post-apocalyptic scenery and just turning away to leave everything behind and move on.
Az előadó a Yob, az album címe Clearing the Path to Ascend, a zene pedig egy hömpölygő doom post-rock. Sokat elmond, hogy a lemezen négy szám van, a teljes játékidő pedig egy óra feletti. Akinek ettől felcsillan a szeme, annak biztosan érdemes belehallgatnia is.
Emlegetem itt az ambientet, erre megint belefutottam egy fantasztikus lemezbe. Július végén jelent meg Matthew Collings második szóló kiadványa, a Silence Is A Rhythm Too, ami egy kiváló album, 6 trackkel 43 percben, mind egy szálig kellemesen kifejtett és szépen felépített számok.
Amolyan klasszikus ambient, van benne post-rockosan recsegő gitár, mindenféle környezeti zaj, lávában lebegés, szellemjárta ház, de mindeközben soha nem száll el annyira, hogy kísérleti legyen, hanem marad benne mindig egy lány dallam vagy egy lüktető dob, ami megtartja a casual hallgató szintjén a balanszt.
