Techno at heart, mid tempo, lots of bass, some epic melodies, introvert and meditative headspace. Definitely one of the highlights of the year. One ceveat is that it has the potentiall to put me on this downward spiral in terms of mood so I can only digest it with careful measure.
Bass heavy, melodic, dreamy and moody, slow paced but not fully ambient electronics. It explores space, goes under the ocean, travels in the belly of the Earth—all the places where dark is the domain but textures can be observed by some shimmering traces of light.
The first EP I called ambient electronic, this one expands that with dubstep and moody melodies. Interestingly the track Taste of Metal was probably aimed to be a heavy hitting grime spitter, but listening to the vocal version I guess it’s lucky that the album features the instrumental one. No words are needed on this record, really. It’s much better as a music-only backdrop soundtrack for a dark room with dim light.
Chilling, beautiful, intimate. Like Apparat with more Planet Mu in it.
I’m far from being a footwork person but this album is hot. Or cold, indeed. But definitely good.
Ambient electronic sci-fi soundtrack with light bokeh and spaceships. In a city. With rain.
Az új µ-Ziq címe az, hogy Rediffusion és nagyon jó. Ambient-IDM-break, lassú-közép tempó, így leírva pont olyan mint egy µ-Ziq lemez. Sőt, meghallgatva is. De nem olyan értelemben, hogy repetitív és unalmas, hanem mintha én ezeket a számokat már ezerszer hallottam volna, ismerném ők és imádnám. Nagyon jó elmerülni benne, mint egy doboz kedves fényképben, ahol mindig észreveszel egy új képet, amire nem is emlékeztél. Másrészt meg a Goonies és a Twin Peaks jut eszembe róla, főleg talán a Smeesterben használt sound miatt.
Nagyon ajánlott, instant kedvenc.
