KOMPROMAT is Vitalic and Rebeka Warrior. I don’t really know what this is in terms of genre or style, and it uses the two languages that are pretty remote to me. But listening this on repeat made me start to like German as a language. Wonderful music, moods, colors (of grey). Once it’s an electronic thing, then I have a cognitive hyperlink to Heilung. They themselves say dark and neopunk, Discogs writes electroclash and industrial. Hard to say. But it’s a mandatory listen at the moment.
Estrons – You Say I’m Too Much, I Say You’re Not Enough
They say alternative, NME says punk, and this is my idea of good indie rock. And a blast first record.
KOLARS – KOLARS
Alternative pops, garage sounds, dreamy moods, party out rocks. It’s like when the Asteroids Galaxy Tour was new, or the music to listen to at a festival bench while drinking up the more-than-tenth beer and shot.
Repetitor – Gde ćeš
Low-fi-alt-garage-rock-indie-post-punk from Belgrade. This is the band in your next door basement that you hear at night and would like to see them in your favorite venue.
Girls Names – Stains on Silence
Refreshingly nothing special, simple alternative rock shoegazer album. It’s like your friend’s band from high school.
Evil Blizzard - The Worst Show On Earth
Wow, just got to know this band and wow. I feel resemblance to the Killing Joke with touches of industrial to its alternative rock. Such awesome tunes and moods and takes me to places. Definitely top list material at year’s end. And that cover.
Mugwump – Drape
I came to say No Trepidation. This starter track is a false value proposition for the album, no point in listening further. But this one track makes me make a note of this.
Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio - Songs 4 Hate & Devotion
On Bandcamp they tag themselves as apocalyptic pop, which is kinda right. Flavours of goth and industrial in a music rather dark and sexual.
Teleman - Fünf EP
Not all tracks are great but Repeater is on repeat. Big beat style beat banger with an alter-indie flavor, it goes together on a playlist with Sex Beat by the Two Lone Swordsmen.
IDLES – Brutalism
Mostly punk. Then punk rock and post-punk. It is raw and dragging with force and wit.
