Doom metal with a psychedelic edge. I’m obsessed with Psychedeathic Swampnosis where otherworldly flute melodies is layered over some psy-doom metal pillars. It’s like the soundtrack of an old fantasy movie (the Labyrinth kind) but with metal.
Memory keeper. Mostly music and movies, plus some series and video games. Obscure darkness meets pop culture glow.

I mentioned this before when Lucifer came out as a single. Just putting the album on this shelf for the record, too, absolutely worthy as a full-lengh unpacking of what I’ve heard coming in the single. It’s an amazingly well crafted metal record.
Has every bit of Dog Fashion Disco in it I want in a Dog Fashion Disco record. Fits the discography like priest in a nursery.
Another record showcasing the comeback of nu jazz. Smooth and easy.
It seems like 2022 was the come-back year for the classic IDM sound.
Electro to dub techno.
Glitchy IDM with nice melodies. Sounds very old school for a record in 2022, but also brings me back to a great era of rhythmic experimental music. It could have been a major Warp release.
It’s so strange that I haven’t made note of Minuit Machine before considering how much I listen to their records recently. It’s a constant item in my cyberpunk playlists. It’s an amazing blend of electro and goth moods resulting in this beautiful dark wave atmosphere that I just strive in.
This is unexpected. I haven’t heard of Overlook before and this music is so much up my alley that it’s like the literal avenue in my city center. Jazzy moods and urban sounds with drum & bass. It’s like DJ Krush but instead of triphop blues having some more tempo to breakbeat and onwards. This is so not 2022, but it’s so amazing.
Electronic music with some IDM and melodic edge. He’s citing Kraftwerk as influence, and the German electronics is definitely there.
