Mostly punk. Then punk rock and post-punk. It is raw and dragging with force and wit.
Protomartyr – Relatives in Descent
First, band name. Second, post-punk alternative rock. Bit strange, bit otherworldly. Favourite track: Half Sister.
Reuben - In Nothing We Trust
Post-hardcore metal thing but with an alt-rock low-fi tone.
Four Tet – New Energy
In a way the most accessible Four Tet so far, sometimes odd mostly for the house beats, but still magical like always.
Gensu Dean & Wise Intelligent – Game of Death
Good old simple and awesome rap. Great beats, great flow.
Amateur Childbirth – Your Afterlife Is Cancelled
Wtf low-fi minimalist apocalyptic folk.
Richard Spaven - The Self
Some tracks are not for me on this one, but the one titled Law is just amazing. Post-rock meets breakbeat meets jazz.
The Protomen – Act II: The Father Of Death
This is definitely the find of the month. Playing The Hounds on repeat. Flavours of Mr. Bungle, a pinch of Dog Fashion Disco, however not so metal but closer to something indie or art rock.
